OXE Diesel is the worlds first high performance Diesel Outboard
THE PERFORMANCE
Diesel provides higher efficiency and torque, which gives enhanced acceleration and lower fuel consumption. It is a less flammable fuel and therefore safer to work with in hazardous environments, its also a fuel that is widely available in ports. The combined benefits of the efficient modern Diesel Engine and the robust transmission provide unique benefits for durability and increased range of operation.
Optimized for reducing life cycle cost for commercial usage. It complies with the NATO ”single-fuel” directive and is built to be the solution for governmental, rescue, military and commercial applications.
FUEL ECONOMY
The OXE power head is a well proven diesel engine inherently more efficient than gasoline engines contributing to low fuel consumption. It consumes 42% less fuel than a comparable modern 200hp 2-stroke outboard. The lower housing is optimized for low drag thus reducing the fuel consumption even further. Reduced fuel consumption translates to increased operating range, longer refueling intervals and reduced fuel costs.
THE CONCEPT
OXE is the worlds first high-performance diesel outboard setting new standards for durability, fuel-efficiency and low emissions for an outboard engine.
Use of a marinized automotive diesel engine that is mounted horizontally, tested over time in line with automotive demand and proven through millions of miles in production cars.
The concept eliminates bevel gears and transfer shafts by utilizing innovative belt technology which allows for high torque transfer. The slim submerged modules provides less drag, reduces fuel consumption and increases speed.

THE DIESEL ENGINE
The engine on the OXE is a marinized modern automotive engine that provides quietness, effectiveness and high torque. It has been redesigned to arrange all service points on the front of the unit so that maintenance and service can be performed on the water. The dry sump system allows for rolling in heavy seas, tilting and trimming.
AUTOMOTIVE-INBOARD TECHNOLOGY
The power head is a proven robust diesel engine developed by GM group, mounted horizontally and marinized with a closed circuit coolant system inspired by modern inboard technology. It allows for high power alternator and cabin heat which often is requested by users in cold weather and power demanding equipment.
TURBO CHARGED DIESEL
The engine is a well proven turbo charged diesel engine with high pressure direct fuel injection. The GM engine has been converted for marine application by using separate systems for seawater, heat exchangers, intercooler and oil cooler and functionality that ensures that the engine, electrical system, fuel system and air intake will withstand marine conditions. All service points are located on the front of the engine for easy access so they can be changed directly from the boat by the users.
The use of highly refined automotive based engine technology provides for industry leading emission levels.
Emission levels are approved by: EPA TIER 3, IMO TIER 2 and RCD.
DIESEL PROPULSION
Diesel provides higher efficiency and torque, which give enhanced acceleration and lower fuel consumption. The engine runs on EN 590, ASTM D 975 No. 1 and No. 2, and JIS KK 2204.EN 590, which creates high flexibility.
Diesel is a less flammable fuel and therefore safer to work with in hazardous environments. The OXE Diesel is designed to be safe in any environment. The reduction in fuel consumption and the hydro dynamically optimized lower housing increases range, contributes towards greater distances to be covered safely and allows for extended operational time between refueling.

QUICK SHIFT CAPABILITY
Besides hearing that it is an OXE Diesel mounted on the back of the boat by the sound of the diesel engine, you will detect that something is different when the boat do a quick shift (the operator go from full speed ahead to full astern) without breaking the gearbox.
If you are running full speed ahead and throw it into full reverse the electronics for the engine rev it down to a certain level before it switches to full reverse. No more evasive maneuvers that risk tearing gearboxes apart.
SIGNIFICANT OPERATIONAL BENEFITS
The OXE Diesel is designed to last. Longer service intervals mean lower maintenance costs and longer operation times. Longer TBO times means life cycle costs are kept at a minimum. The combined benefits of the modern Diesel Engine and the efficient transmission provide unique benefits for durability and increased range, optimized to reduce life cycle cost.
